IMPROBABLE & ABSOLUTELY TRUE FALSEHOODS:
A WALKING STORY BY LISA PASOLD
This tall tale is for people who hear music along the streetcar tracks, who pick up discarded photographs from the sidewalk, and especially for you, in case one night you meet a spirit with impeccable manners wearing an old-fashioned tuxedo, who offers your heart’s desire...
What can you expect at INFringe 2019 this November in New Orleans?
A unique site-specific experience. Walking through the streets of the Marigny Triangle, I imagine possible histories and lives of this place and its community. My work is an ongoing examination of “the journey”. These are creative explorations, fictional inventions inspired by factual history, taking you into a story I create especially for a particular festival. The walks are, by their nature, collaborative experiences. I look forward to walking with you!
"Pasold successfully casts a spell over her audience with subtlety and grace." - New Orleans Defender
"Critical, darkly funny and painstakingly lyrical" - The Globe and Mail
"As if we're reading notes scribbled by the expatriate freelance writer in a car bouncing along a dirt road in Kenya, or on a late-night intercontinental flight... Pasold's work is the poetic equivalent of living out of a suitcase." - The Toronto Star
