Updated: Oct 1, 2021

Improbable Walks, Season 2, Episode #1: This was a bustling intersection of theatre & fashion in the 1600s. Today, the place is named for Mireille, actress & TV host (the 1950 photo by Doisneau shows her at home in the Palais Royal). Next, the fountain honouring playwright Molière (this is a postcard from 1900.) Then stroll down the street imagining the "robe de chambre" designed by Maîtresse Couturière Mme du Creux (Lapham's has a fascinating fashion history article here.)
