Shopping on rue Mouffetard

Updated: Oct 1, 2021

Improbable Walks, Season 1, Episode #6: In our special holiday podcast for Improbable Walks, Heather Stimmler, creator of Secrets of Paris, talks about the history of this market street. Here's a 1923 photo by Man Ray of Ernest Hemingway (Hem wrote about the area in one of my favourite books, A MOVEABLE FEAST), a photo of the church SAINT-MEDARD (famous for, er, cannibalism), and a map of the Latin Quarter, so you can see where Mouffetard is in relation to the PANTHEON & other landmarks (click on the map to make it bigger!)
